NEW YORK (TRP) – New York radio personality K Foxx is known for holding it down for the ladies as the lone female voice in the mornings on HOT 97’s “Cipha Sounds & Rosenberg show.”

And when she’s not on the NYC airwaves, you can catch the foxy radio star dishing it out on VH1’s “The Gossip Game,” the show that follows 7 female media personalities covering the world of hip hop where drama is surely not lacking.

“Do I have drama?” K Foxx quipped when asked about the over-the-top scenes that have become commonplace on the reality show.

“With me I really try to steer clear from that,” she explained. “But if someone gets at me, I will check them. There’s a difference”

K Foxx does a fair share of checking when she’s on the HOT 97 mic, sounding off – and at times – clashing with co-hosts Cipha Sounds and Peter Rosenberg.

Radio personality turned reality star K. Foxx talks about her career and new VH1 show in a candid sit-down with Andrew Ramos where she even drops some Biggie freestyle.

“[Being the only girl] is a lot of pressure but I grew up with 3 older brothers so [I] can be one of the guys, but sometimes you have your feminine days and you’re kind of like ‘today is not the day,’” she explained. “You kind of have to draw the line in the sand and say ‘you know guys I don’t’ feel like joking around today.’”

While hip hop appears to be a predominately male-dominated game, Foxx offered some insight as to why it really isn’t.

“Us females let you guys believe it is a man’s game but we really run it,” she said. “Because if you listen to all the music out there, it’s about us. It’s about women.”

Between Kendrick Lamar rapping about “Poetic Justice” to A$AP Rocky proclaiming that he loves “bad bitches,” anyone who takes a look at the top hip hop songs on the Billboard Hot 100 would probably come down with the same conclusion.

And it just so happens, Kendrick and A$AP will both be hitting the stage at this year’s Summer Jam, as HOT 97 celebrates its 20^th year of putting on the legendary show billed as the biggest hip hop concert on the planet. With a lineup that includes Chris Brown, 2 Chainz and a reunion by Shaolin’s -own Wu Tang Clan, rookies need not apply.

“Touching that Summer Jam stage is legendary. We hand pick our artists,” Foxx said. “You have to be the best of the best.”

NEW YORK (PIX11) – From Gossip Girl to 90210, it was once the home for your favorite emo teenagers, but now the CW Network is flipping the script and going full throttle into the world of Sci-fi.

The much-anticipated thriller The Originals is just one of the many new shows expected to excite fans this fall. A spin-off to the wildly popular The Vampire Diaries, the drama will zero in on the original vampire family who paved the way for the Salvatore brothers.

“The Originals is more about people who come of age,” star Joseph Morgan told PIX11 News. “They are embracing who they are, what they’re about. I’m hoping we have a little bit more fun with it.”

The Tomorrow People tells the story of a teenage boy with problems but it’s not what you think.

‘Reign’ ‘The Originals’ and ‘Star Crossed’ are just some of the new supernatural-themed shows hitting the CW Network this fall.

“It turns out he doesn’t have any problems, he has super powers and there are starting to show through,” Robbie Amell said about his character Stephen on Tomorrow. “Things get pretty fun toward the end.”

It’s the civil rights movement all over again on Star-Crossed where this time, teen aliens are enrolled at a suburban human high school where the inevitable love story unfolds.

“It’s a human girl played by Aimee Teegarden and myself the alien boy,” Matt Lanter dished about show’s plot.  “It’s like a romance that must be but cannot be, you know.”

Also coming to the CW, The 100 where for the first time in nearly a century, humans return to a post-apocalyptic earth and bring with them, the good, the bad and of course — the paranormal.

So why so much sci-fi? Blame it on the super heroes and vampires. According to insiders, it was the success of CW hit shows like Arrow and The Vampire Diaries that inspired a good portion of the fall schedule.

TVD along with Arrow, Hart of Dixie, The Carrie Diaries and America’s Next Top Model will be among the returning shows on the CW this fall.

The Caped Crusader himself has apparently jumped out of the comic books and into real-life.

A man donning a Batman costume left local authorities in Northern England scratching their heads after he showed up to their police station to drop off a suspect wanted in a burglary.

The scene unraveled inside local police headquarters in the city of Bradford. Surveillance footage captured the real-life superhero handing over a man who was due in court after being charged with handling stolen goods.

After passing him off to officers, a lot like the real Batman, the comic fanatic reportedly disappeared into the night.

A spokesman for the police department even released a statement, confirming the bizarre incident.

“The person who brought the wanted man into the station was dressed in a full batman outfit. His identity, however, remains unknown,” a West Yorkshire Police spokesman said in a statement.

By the looks of the surveillance photos, it also appears that the Dark Knight has let himself go, sporting a plump mid-section.

Although thankful, cops are still trying to figure out who that guy was.

NEW YORK (TRP) - If she isn’t calling Adele fat or poking fun at the Holocaust, you can find Joan Rivers unleashing verbal attacks on people minding their own business.

While appearing on the PIX Morning News Friday, the legendary comic went on a rampage, attacking a one Andrew Ramos – among others – suggesting his wardrobe was something straight out of the “hood.”

Responding to the controversy, a dumbfounded Ramos explained he was thrown off by the accusation.

“I feel my wardrobe exudes modern day sophistication with a splash of sexy, more than anything,” he said. “I don’t know where she got ‘hood’ from but honestly, I’m fine with it.”

Rivers also took shots at several other PIX11 staffers, but no one appeared to take issue with the remarks as she was clearly dead on.

He’s all of 9-years-old, but it doesn’t stop this pint-size rapper from rapping about money, drugs and of course the perennial favorite — hoes.

But now the father of the MC known as ‘Lil Poopy’ is finding himself in some dookie.

Lil Poopy — whose real name is Luie Rivera Jr. –  is an artist signed under rapper French Montana’s label Cocaine City Records. He’s already starred in a series of suggestive YouTube music videos where he could be seen rapping alongside scantily-clad women and luxury cars while rapping about guns and cocaine among other things.

This week, authorities in Massachusetts filed a complaint against the fourth grader’s dad – Luie Rivera Sr. – claiming child abuse and neglect.

Rivera responded to the charge, telling the Boston Herald his son isn’t doing anything wrong.

“There are other kids out there killing kids, doing drugs, molesting. He’s just singing hooks. He’s not hurting anyone.”

Well despite that, the State Department of Children and Families is moving ahead with its investigation on the complaint.

The probe will ultimately determine if it’s a case of child neglect, or a classic case of “haters goin’ hate.”

NEW JERSEY (PIX11) - What looks like the star of every nightmare you ever had, is now apparently the talk of web.

Check out this incredible catch one New Jersey man made in the waters of the Garden State.

The bloodied, eel-like sea monster sports a pair of thick lips and a full row of sharp teeth.

The images – which were first posted on Reddit – caused quite the buzz, garnering over 1 million views shortly after they were posted.

Here’s what we know about the photos: Reddit readers identified the fisherman as Doug Cutler.

Published reports say the creature appears to be a very large sea lamprey – a species of parasite that typically lives in northern Atlantic waters.

No need to sound the alarm, lampreys typically suck blood from larger fish and lick stones.

It’s a tale as old as time: A demented tattoo artist meets a pretty girl online and the pair fall deeply in love.

Soon after meeting in person, she lets her new “boyfriend” tattoo his name across her face.

Wait, what?

Yes. It really happened.

According to The Sun, the Russian woman identified as “Lesya” was inspired by love when she let tattoo artist Rousian Toumaniantz ink his name in giant Gothic script across her face.

To complete the look, he also inked “All For Love” above her left eyebrow.

The love birds who are now engaged, later posted the photos of the abomination … errr…  we mean, love story, on Facebook.

Love – or whatever that is –  truly makes one do the craziest things.

What started out as an adorable YouTube video has ended in smiles for one lucky 6-year-old girl.

Meet Breanna, she is devastated and crying a river because she isn’t old enough to marry Houston Texans defensive lineman J.J. Watt.

The adorable video is posted on YouTube because that’s apparently what you do nowadays … especially when crying children are involved.

Well the video caught the attention of J.J. Watt himself, prompting him to take to Twitter in search of “this cute little girl.”

Shoot to a few days later, Watt tracks Breanna down, gets on one knee and asks the 6-year-old to be his pretend wife for the day.

On Friday, Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn. became the latest entry of a growing list where mass murder and tragedy have left its horrific mark.

A total of 27 people, including 20 children, have been reported dead in one of the worst mass shootings in U.S. history.

The shooting comes just 3 days after a gunman opened fire at a suburban Portland mall, killing two people before turning the gun on himself.

Both tragedies occur nearly five months after James Eagan Holmes walked into a Colorado movie theater during a screening of the film The Dark Knight Rises and shot at the audience with multiple firearms, wounding 58 and killing 12.

To say that mass shootings have become part of the culture in the United States is not farfetched, especially considering the vast tragedies involving firearms that have taken place on American soil in the past 20 years.

Here is a look at the worst mass shootings over the years:

Charles Joseph Whitman

August 1, 1966: Charles Joseph Whitman, a student at the University of Texas at Austin, killed 14 people and wounded 32 others during a shooting rampage on and around the college campus. The massacre unraveled after Whitman murdered his wife and mother at their homes. He was ultimately shot and killed about 90 minutes after the mass shooting by an Austin city Police Officer.

July 18, 1984: James Oliver Huberty, an out-of-work security guard, kills 21 people in a McDonald’s restaurant in San Ysidro, Calif. A police sharpshooter kills Huberty.

Aug. 20, 1986: Pat Sherrill, 44, a postal worker who was about to be fired, shoots 14 people at a post office in Edmond, Okla. He then kills himself.

June 18, 1990: James Edward Pough shoots people at random in a General Motors Acceptance Corp. office in Jacksonville, Fla., killing 10 and wounding four, before killing himself.

Oct. 16, 1991: A deadly shooting rampage took place in Killeen, Texas, as George Hennard opened fire at a Luby’s Cafeteria, killing 23 people before taking his own life. 20 others were wounded in the attack.

Seung-Hui Cho (left), a 23-year-old Korean-American Virginia Tech student, shot dead 32 students and faculty members and wounded 25 others before killing himself.

April 16, 2007: Student Seung-Hui Cho shot and killed 32 people on the campus of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, Va. He later committed suicide is listed as the deadliest mass shooting to ever take place on a U.S. college campus.

March 10, 2009: Michael McLendon, 28, killed 10 people — including his mother, four other relatives, and the wife and child of a local sheriff’s deputy — across two rural Alabama counties. He then killed himself.

Nov. 5, 2009: Thirteen soldiers and civilians were killed and more than two dozen wounded when a gunman walked into the Soldier Readiness Processing Center at Fort Hood, Texas, and opened fire. Army psychiatrist Maj. Nidal Hasan is charged with 13 counts of premeditated murder and 32 counts of attempted premeditated murder.

July 20, 2012: At least 12 people are killed when a gunman enters an Aurora, Colo., movie theater, releases a canister of gas and then opens fire during opening night of the Batman movie “The Dark Knight Rises.” James Holmes, a 24-year-old former graduate student at the University of Colorado, has been charged in the deaths.

August 5, 2012: Army veteran Wade Michael Page kills five men and one woman and wounds three other people, including a police officer, before taking his own life at the Sikh Temple of Wisconsin outside Milwaukee.
