According to NYPD officials, 30-year-old Alexis Torres became involved in a verbal dispute with his 30-year-old wife at the couple’s home in the Woodside section at about 6 p.m. Wednesday.

The argument snowballed into an physical altercation where Torres allegedly attacked his wife, choking her. Torres then fled the scene with their 1-year-old baby girl, police said.

The victim called 911, telling police what happened. Responding officers were made aware by his wife that Torres had an iPhone. The victim gave officers her husband’s iTunes account information, which officers used to track Torres, using the Find My iPhone application.
