City Comes Together To Grant Sick Child’s Wish To Be Batman For A Day

7-year-old Kye, who suffers from leukemia, roams the city of Arlington assuming the role of Batman after the city granted his wish to be the Caped Crusader for a day.

ARLINGTON, Texas (TRP) – 7-year-old Kye, who suffers from leukemia, had a dream to become Batman for a day, where he would foil crime, arrest the bad guys and protect the city.

Kye’s “Ultimate Batman Adventure” wish was granted this past weekend when the police and fire departments of his hometown of Arlington came together with the “A Wish with Wings” foundation to make it all happen.

Kye began his adventure at 10 a.m. assuming the role of the caped crusader where he roamed the open streets of Arlington, kicking crime in the butt.

Officials planted several comic book-styled crime scenarios throughout the city that ranged from a bank heist by Batman’s nemesis the Joker to a City Hall bomb plot by the Riddler.

After securing the city and bringing the villians to justice, Kye was awarded a “Key to the City” by Assistant Police Chief James Hawthorne.

Da na na na na na na … BATMAN! or should we say KYE!
