NEW YORK (TRP) – Legendary TV personality Dick Clark died Wednesday from a massive heart attack, a spokesperson for Clark confirmed.
Clark, known for hosting “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” for decades, reportedly was hospitalized at St. John’s hospital in Los Angeles following an outpatient procedure Tuesday night.
He suffered the massive heart attack after the procedure, TMZ reports.
Clark, 82, was regular fixture in American households for his annual “New Years’ Rockin’ Eve” special which he produced and created in 1972. After a massive stroke in 2004, Clark was relegated to the guest appearances on the special which was later taken over by Ryan Seacrest.
