NEW YORK (TRP) – Here’s something you don’t see every day: a hip hop mogul/rap impresario using public transportation to travel to a headlining gig.
It happened this weekend when Jay-Z shocked fans and created a frenzy when he walked into the Canal Street subway station in Lower Manhattan.
Surrounded by security, Jigga hopped on the Brooklyn-bound R-train to head over to the Barclay’s Center for his last of eight sold-out shows.
Hov could not shake the screaming fans who followed his every move underground. The rapper even shared a chat with a straphanger who – according to surfaced footage – appeared to have no idea who he was.
Jay-Z arrived to the Barclay’s Center where he later shared the stage with wife Beyonce to perform their hit “Crazy in Love” and “03′ Bonnie & Clyde.”
