Comedian attempts kissing-marathon at Grand Central, fails gracefully

From the sleeping on the subway bit to the zombie takeover in Union Square, New Yorkers are the constant target of YouTube pranksters.

Now entering the fray is local comedic actress – and apparent kissing machine – Farah Brook.

In a YouTube video titled “Kiss Me NYC,” Brook makes several hilarious attempts to kiss complete strangers at Grand Central Terminal.

All she wanted was to smooch with New York City, but New York City just wasn’t in the mood.

“I was definitely very nervous,” Brook told PIX11 News, on filming the now-viral video. “I am a born and bred New Yorker myself and I hate when people bother me.“

Her mission was pretty simple, she said.

“I just kinda thought I could [bring] a little love into their day.”

The actress produced the video with a friend as part of an audition submission for a role of – you guessed it – a girl who pranks people.

“We shot it in an hour. I had no intention of this going online, I just thought it would be funny to put on Facebook for April Fool’s and it blew up from there,” she said.

When it came to getting rejected, she took it in stride.

“People were not so down to kiss me. I really wasn’t completely surprised by that.”

Despite getting physically shunned away by strangers, Brook eventually scored with a mystery man toward the end of the video.

“We’re actually still in touch. We’re still talking,” she said of her make-out buddy.
