NEW YORK — We didn’t exactly need a Maury lie detector test to crack this case.
After denying claims he took part in the so-called Deflategate scandal, an investigation has concluded that New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady knew exactly what was going on.
The whole time.
According to the lengthy 243 page document released Wednesday by attorney Ted Wells, “it is more probable than not that Tom Brady was at least generally aware of the inappropriate activities” of two team employees who were deliberately releasing air from Patriot game balls.
Both employees Jim McNally and John Jastremski conspired to deflate these balls at Brady’s request, and hilarious text messages between the two prove it. )
After all, Brady knows how he likes his balls. He told us during a now-memorable press conference in January.
Even though the internet had a good ol’ time at the Patriots’ expense, the report found no wrong doing by Patriots ownership or Coach Bill Bellichick.
The NFL Wednesday saying in a statement that it will “consider what steps to take in light of the report, both with respect to possible disciplinary action and to any changes in protocols that are necessary to avoid future incidents of this type.”
