NEWARK, N.J. (PIX11) – To call Media Day at Newark’s Prudential Center Tuesday a chaotic circus would be quite the understatement.
As everyone knows, Media Day is pretty much reserved for the athletes playing in the Super Bowl — taking place at Metlife Stadium this Sunday — to rub elbows with journalists from across the globe. Although every question asked isn’t warranted, players are prepared for reporters to serve up absolute absurdity.
The man of the hour was undoubtedly Seattle Seahawks Richard Sherman. Photographers and reporters swamped Sherman’s press booth nearly 30 minutes before the headline-making corner back even stepped into the auditorium.
Other notable names were Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning and Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch — who spent a total of 6 minutes and 21 seconds answering reporters’ questions.
Miss New Jersey USA Emily Shah also revealed how she’s not feeling all too happy about New York getting top billing for hosting Super Bowl XLVIII. Anyone who has a good sense of geography knows the game itself will be played at Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, NEW JERSEY.
Watch the report above as PIX11′s Andrew Ramos kept everyone on their toes.
