Dennis Quaid’s meltdown was a hoax and I just had to get in on the action

NEW YORK (PIX11) — The Hollywood meltdown isn’t a new thing, and if its caught on tape it’ll almost certainly get you publicity.

Ask Bill O’Reilly, Charlie Sheen and Rosie O’Donnell.

Remember Christian Bale’s on-set tirade or who could forget Alec Baldwin ripping apart his then pre-teen daughter on a voicemail.

Whether you want to admit it or not, when a celebrity loses their cool we love to analyze, talk about it and then watch it again.

Nowadays, the viral hoax is something real and that’s where our friend Dennis Quaid comes in.

“I am acting here and this d**k head wanders onto my set!” is just one of the many verbal lashings the actor is heard saying in an on-set rant that surfaced on YouTube this week. (Watch it here)

It turns out the freak out is an epic fake-out compliments of “Funny or Die.” The website released the full Dennis Quaid sketch in its entirety and apparently the actor’s supposed epithets were pretty dead on.

Ah, pranked yet again by that wicked she-devil Hollywood! The moral of this story – Buyer Beware. All the time. Every day. All day. Always.
